After one of the most turbulent seasons in the show’s history, the Love Is Blind season 7 reunion is officially in the rearview. Though Netflix promised in their social media promo that the contestants “did not come to play” and “questions WILL be answered,” what did viewers really learn from the highly-anticipated reunion? Who’s still married? Did any of the couples get back together post-pods? Who still has bad blood?
While every single burning question the audience had didn’t necessarily get addressed, there definitely was mess at last night’s movie-length reunion. Tyler, Marissa, and Hannah all shed tears on the reunion stage, and former couples hashed it out with barely any interference or moderation by hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey.
Perhaps the biggest reveal of the night was that the next season of the hit reality dating show is coming way sooner than you’d think: at the end of the evening, the Lacheys teased the premiere of Love Is Blind season 8 on Valentine’s Day 2025, which focuses on lovers from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves — below, get the most important details dished at the Love Is Blind season 7 reunion, including which couples are still married, who’s still dating, and who wants to never see each other again, in the famous last words of Tim. Who’s still married?
The Love Is Blind season 7 couples who made it past the altar were Garrett and Taylor and Tyler and Ashley. Now, after nearly one year of marriage, both couples are confirmed to still be happily married. When asked about what the past year of their unions has been like, Tyler said his marriage to Ashley has been filled thus far with “a lot of laughter, a lot of growth, a lot of love.” Garrett has experienced a “glow-up” since marrying Taylor, walking in NYFW and changing his Instagram bio to “fish | fitness | fashion | food.” The couple seems to be doing swimmingly (pun intended), traveling the globe and embracing being a bi-coastal couple; they spent the last year in Fredericksburg, not San Diego, but Taylor said they hope to settle down in DC for their next chapter, the city that “seemed like the next natural fit.”
Who got back together?
None of the couples who split during the season — which, if you’ve lost count, are Nick and Hannah, Tim and Alex, Ramses and Marissa, Stephen and Monica, and Leo and Brittany — were able to work things out off-camera outside of the show. And while Ramses expressed remorse for leading Marissa on and Tim asserted there was no animosity between him and Alex, the heated arguments that took place on the reunion stage makes it clear that the show might have wrapped one year ago but heartbreak, hurt, and anger are still very present between these former couples.
What happened between Tyler and Ashley? (And the kids?)
Tyler and Ashley have had one of the most talked about experiences on the show this season, after the shocking reveal that Tyler is the father of three children via sperm donation for a friend. Since that on-screen moment, social media has been ablaze with speculation that Tyler’s dynamic with his children is more in-depth and involved than he seemed to let on.
At the reunion, however, Tyler and Ashley were a united front. They were asked about the kids scandal within the first ten minutes of the reunion. Tyler kept his previous story that he helped a friend and her wife “start a family, but her wife ended up leaving her and left her high and dry.” He defended the photos that were resurfaced of him with the children at Christmas, saying, “I’ve spent holidays with all my friends, all their kids.”
“Those kids, that family, they did not sign up for this… I stepped in voluntarily and helped… I played a part that became very shaky with a friend,” Tyler said, starting to cry. “There’s no rulebooks [for] this. Ashley knows all of this. This is news to the world, but this has never been news to us… I don’t owe anyone an explanation besides my wife. I’m good. We’re good. I’m not gonna keep harping on it.”
Ashley, who declared she had “some things to say,” went on to clarify that Tyler apparently lied on camera about the children knowing what he looked like in hopes of protecting both his privacy and the privacy of the kids. Ashley staunchly defended her husband, saying it was “insulting to her intelligence” that viewers believed she was “blindsided” by the true nature of Tyler’s relationship to the children.
“Who do you think has better insight on what’s going on, social media or me?” she said, adding that Tyler “never wanted to share” anything about his three children on camera, and that they had conversations about them off-camera well before they got married. “He is a good person, who went in a little too deep and didn’t know what to do next,” Ashley said. “When I said ‘I do,’ I said ‘I do’ to all of it. I was aware and took on what I wanted to. This is a once in a lifetime kind of love. This is a rarity, and it’s something that is worth risking anything for.”
What happened between Nick and Hannah?
Just like the emotional rollercoaster that was their engagement, Hannah and Nick’s segment of the reunion was full of ups-and-downs. Hannah contradicted herself repeatedly during the evening, at first apologizing for being “so cruel” to Nick but then doubling down on her on-screen statements and overall communication style. “I’m very to the point and very direct,” she said. “That’s just who I am… I think I’m telling you exactly what [I’m thinking], but really I’m just [acting] like a b*tch. The things that I said were all true, but it’s just the way [I] say it.”
Much of the social media chatter around Nick and Hannah’s storylines focused on Hannah seemingly projecting her insecurities on Nick and their relationship; many viewers felt as though she continuously tore him down to build herself up. Hannah said during the reunion that she “had a lot of room to grow” during the past year, and spent most of it “working on [herself], internally and externally.” When asked by the Lacheys if she loves this new version of herself, Hannah began to cry and responded with a visibly and verbally unsure, “I don’t know, I think I do… I love myself, yeah.”
But those tears dried up quickly when Nick tried to praise Hannah’s character, as Hannah quickly accused him of liking hateful comments about her on his social media. Hannah then brought up a journal entry she uncovered after their breakup, in which Nick allegedly wrote that he wanted to “become the most famous person ever on Love Is Blind,” as well as the derogatory comments he apparently made to fellow male castmates about Hannah’s appearance after their pod reveal, calling her a “grenade” and giving her a lower “rating.”
Most of the cast then seemed to turn on Nick, corroborating Hannah’s accusations while he vehemently denied them — Ramses even outright asked Nick to come clean, saying there was no better place than the setting of the reunion to hold oneself accountable.
What happened between Ramses and Marissa?
Ramses and Marissa had a highly emotional breakdown of their relationship on the reunion stage, which included insight from Ramses’s biggest hater, Marissa’s mom Vanessa. Vanessa revealed that this was not the first time she had seen Ramses since he broke up with her daughter — she actually went to see him to hear his side of the story after the engagement was called off, even though she “wanted to punch him in the throat.”
“You broke her,” she said directly to Ramses, who looked visibly shaken up. “I had to help pick her up… I’m thankful he called it off. [Marissa] would’ve carried that relationship and so he did the right thing.” Marissa noted that watching their breakup scene back when the season finally aired “felt like [her] heart was breaking all over again.”
Ramses used a moment of his time on the couch to defend himself against those who believed he had “presented Marissa with an ultimatum” about birth control. “It wasn’t a situation where I was being whiny and bratty about [not wanting to use] a condom,” he said, adding that the conversation requires nuance.
And though Marissa tried to get more answers from Ramses about what influenced his decision to call off their wedding, Ramses did apologize and admit that he should’ve spoken up earlier about the doubts he was battling. “I came to that realization toward the end of this experience and it made for a really heartbreaking situation,” he said.
What happened between Tim and Alex?
Tim and Alex had, arguably, the most confrontational discussion of the evening, with little to no intervention or moderation from the Lacheys or other contestants — Brittany was the only one who came to Alex’s defense. The former couple went zero contact after their breakup, and for good reason it seems.
Alex clarified that she took the notorious nap after meeting his parents because she had a long overnight shift ahead of her and had spent a large portion of the day with Tim’s family. While addressing this, Tim got confused and continued to reference the night he met Alex’s family, not the other way around.
It was also finally revealed what was said during that off-screen blowup between the couple that happened in Mexico. Alex says she was navigating complicated emotions about her father’s decline in health and needed space — but as the couple were still getting to know each other, they had a gap in communication about their processing methods and began to argue in a hotel bathroom.
Alex said she “was trying to protect” them by avoiding production, but the argument quickly escalated. Ultimately, Alex said Tim was “disrespecting [her] for over an hour” with his “finger in [her] face” so she put her hand over his mouth and told him he was “acting like a little ass b*tch.”
They couldn’t find closure during the reunion, arguing in circles with Tim repeatedly saying he felt “attacked” and “disrespected.” He even made a generalizing statement about standards women hold in modern relationships. “That’s crazy. Why would you say that to any grown man out here trying to love you?” Tim said. “Y’all ask men to take you seriously, and why would you belittle me like that?” The argument was eventually interrupted by Vanessa Lachey, who suggested the two speak privately after the reunion. (Yeah, not happening.)
