How Diddy Tried Over 10 Times to Include Prince Harry and William in His High-Society Party Scene

A former representative for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has claimed that the rapper was ‘obsessed’ with the Duke of Sussex and the Duke of Cambridge, and had invited them to parties

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, the music mogul, apparently had a fascination with British royalty, as his former representative Rob Shuter revealed to the BBC that Prince William and Prince Harry consistently turned down invitations to Diddy’s lavish parties. Despite the rapper’s persistence and him offering to foot the bill for all expenses, the royal siblings never became part of his high-profile social scene.

“Diddy was obsessed with Prince Harry and Prince William,” Shuter disclosed.

“He thinks of himself as a king, so it makes perfect sense that he would like to have two princes in his entourage. [Harry and William] never accepted [the invites], they were never part of his world.”

Shuter noted that Combs made “more than 10 times” attempts to charm the princes into attending his gatherings.

Combs himself reminisced about his efforts during a 2011 interview on The Graham Norton Show, saying, “Before, when they were young bucks growing up, and they were getting in a lot of trouble themselves, so, hey, I was like, ‘Why don’t you come hang out with me?'”

Royal author Christopher Andersen spoke to Fox News, indicating that the invitations stopped after Prince William’s milestone engagement to Kate Middleton in 2010.

“But those invitations were wisely turned down, and after William and Kate [Middleton] got engaged [in 2010], Diddy got the hint and stopped inviting them altogether,” Andersen commented.

Although the princes never made an appearance, other celebrities are known to be regulars at Combs’ parties.
